PERSONAL TRAINER & COACH
DIRECTOR OF GROUP TRAINING

BACKGROUND

My fitness journey started the summer of my sophomore year in highschool. I had broken my left leg and ankle in three different places, which confined me to a wheelchair, crutches, and a walking boot for the better part of six months. At that point I had fallen behind my peers in football and basketball (not to mention my fitness level was not so hot), so I decided to pick up competitive swimming. After swimming and lifting my way back to being in shape, I realized how much I liked working out with my friends. This ignited my interest in exercise science and the personal training, group fitness, and nutrition field. Now a days I have transitioned into Triathlon, completing 2 Full Ironmans, 4 Half Ironmans, and countless Olympic/Sprint distance triathlons!

VISION

My vision has always been to help others reach their fitness goals, no matter how big the goal. After stepping away from the training field for a couple years, I realized how much I missed teaching healthy lifestyle choices and leading people through exercises that will help make any goal reachable. Now I am back and excited to help anyone and everyone reach their goals, no matter how big or small!

EXPERIENCE

My professional career started at Gustavus Adolphus College, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology and Health Fitness and competed as a Division III swimming athlete. I started my post-college career at Life Time Fitness, doing personal training and group classes. I then worked at Discover Strength, where I earned my ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist certification. I have been with SOTA since 2017 and haven’t looked back since! I have 10+ years in strength training experience and 5+ years in Aerobic Fitness training experience.
