BACKGROUND
My fitness journey started the summer of my sophomore year. I had broken my left leg and ankle in three different places, confining me to a wheelchair, crutches, and a walking boot for the better part of six months. At that point I had fallen behind my peers in football and basketball (not to mention my fitness level was not so hot), so I decided to pick up competitive swimming in high school. After swimming and lifting my way back to being in shape, I realized how much I liked working out with my friends. This ignited my interest in exercise science and the personal training, group fitness, and nutrition field.
VISION
My vision has always been to help others reach their fitness goals, no matter how big the goal. After stepping away from the training field for a couple years, I realized how much I missed teaching healthy lifestyle choices and leading people through exercises that will help make any goal reachable. Now I am back and excited to help anyone and everyone reach their goals, no matter how big or small.
EXPERIENCE
My professional career started at Gustavus Adolphus College, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology and Health Fitness and competed as a Division III swimming athlete. I started my post-college career at Life Time Fitness, doing personal training and group classes. I then worked at Discover Strength, where I earned my ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist certification.
