READY TO LEVEL UP YOUR CAREER IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY?
Hey! My name is Phil Schrupp, and I founded SOTA Personal Training in 2017, which has since become the most highly-reviewed personal training studio in the Twin Cities.
Every day, we get to empower our community and help them become the strongest versions of themselves through fitness. It's truly rewarding (and important) work we've been doing since 2017.
While most people get little to no fulfillment from their job, this position provides the opportunity to help people get fit, healthy, and strong every day... and have fun doing it.
We are growing fast and searching for our next A-player coach to join the ranks and help us further our mission to help our members live stronger, healthier, happier lives.
Working at SOTA, you'll be on the front lines of an industry-leading team.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
A Career Doing What You Love: Many of our coaches have been with us for over 6 years. We design a growth plan and vision for every new team member from the very start, so you can do what you love and thrive for years to come.
No Sales: Our trainers are never responsible for sales or meeting quotas like the big box gyms. Your only job is to do what you do best: helping people get strong and healthy.
Continuing Education: If you’re not learning, you’re not growing. We have a world-class onboarding system to help get you up to speed and help subsidize continuing education certifications while you’re coaching with us.
Part of the Tribe: Being a SOTA coach means learning from and working alongside other top-tier fitness professionals. One of our core values is "Be on The Bus", and we host a number of team-only events throughout the year to build camaraderie and connection (we love a healthy dose of smack talk).
Money: It’s awesome working here, but we’re certainly not going to ask you to work for free. Compensation ranges from $30-$40 per hour after successful onboarding with several additional income opportunities for motivated individuals.
Benefits: We provide a stipend for Health Insurance, IRA contributions, paid vacation, and a healthy allotment of continuing education opportunities for full-time positions.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Positive Energy: Having positive energy is not a benefit, it’s a job requirement for us.
Connection with Members: We’re looking for someone who is outstanding with people. You have to love people from all walks of life and be genuinely excited about helping others achieve their goals, regardless of their background.
No Drama: We don't get caught up in the gossip. We’ve run a drama-free gym for over 7 years and plan to keep it that way.
Desire to Learn: You don’t have to be the world's best trainer to start working here, but you need to have an incredible thirst to become a better trainer and coach every day. One of our core values is "Humble Growth", and we take that seriously.
Certifications/Degrees: A Personal Trainer Certification is required to work the floor. A College Degree in a movement science is strongly preferred but not required to apply. We don't just look for "trainers", we look for coaches.
Experience: Training positions require some form of previous experience to be considered, and a CPT certification is required to work the floor. However, if you are new to the fitness industry, please do not let that prevent you from submitting an application; we have a world-class onboarding system that will have you ready to train better and faster than any certification available.
